The little story

Badger Fieldbase

Badger Fieldbase is a low, sturdy field station with broad viewing windows and shelves of outdoor gear. It is the kind of place you duck into after a long walk, shake off the mud and say: right, what did we find?

Basil keeps the notebooks. He is the field-note badger, and he has one rule for everything: write it down before you forget it. Binoculars wait by the window, a compass sits on the table and a stack of well-thumbed books answers most questions.

This morning Basil found a footprint belonging to a very small adventure. It seems to be heading your way, so keep the kettle on and the door open.
