Common Ground
A little town square where everyone has a bench.
Two crooked little houses, a fountain and a welcoming bench, all sharing one village-square tile.
Resident Otto, unofficial mayor of the bench
Common Ground
Common Ground is a village square with two crooked houses, a fountain that chatters to passers-by and a welcoming wooden bench. A line of little pennants is strung over the path, as if a festival is always just about to start.
Otto is the unofficial mayor of the bench. Otto knows everyone's name, including the pigeons, and has made room on the bench for you. You are officially a regular the moment you sit down, and nobody will ask you to prove it.
There is a noticeboard for the next event, a flowerpot blooming by the right-hand house and a lantern for the evening gathering. It is a lively, friendly place to bring a club, a neighbourhood or a project that needs more hands.
