Root & Rain
Root & Rain is a moss-covered burrow with an arched doorway, a rounded window glowing into the hill and a sheltered reading nook just inside. It was built for slow afternoons, when rain taps the grass and nothing needs doing.
Root is the underground reader of the hill. Root has read every book on the shelf twice and keeps a watering can by the steps for the ferns. A rain drop taps three times at the door, which means there is tea inside.
Pull up a mossy cushion, let the fireflies finish their evening round and stay for one more chapter. It is a calm place to think things over.
