Lighthouse Island
There is always a light on for late arrivals.
A lighthouse, a crab and a message with your name on it.
Resident Captain Claw, keeper of the light
Lighthouse Island
Lighthouse Island is a little lighthouse on a tidepool island, with a striped tower, a warm lamp at the top and a slow sweep of light that wanders across the water. It is a quiet place to wash up and stay a while.
Captain Claw keeps the light and answers the door in a hurry, usually after a short argument with the kettle. A gull keeps watch from its post, a crab has opinions about the sand and a message in a bottle has washed ashore with your name almost on it.
Stay long enough for the tide to turn and a tiny boat may name you honorary lighthouse keeper. Nothing here has to be launched yet. It only has to be enjoyed.
