Small Sculpture
A little studio for shapes that are still becoming.
Small Sculpture is a sawtooth-roof studio with skylights, a courtyard and a place to make a mess, with a studio sculpture, a handmade vessel and a fresh flower.
Resident Form, patient sculptor and studio keeper
Small Sculpture
Small Sculpture is a sawtooth-roof studio with skylights in every zigzag, a little courtyard out front and a corner where it is perfectly fine to make a mess. Light falls in from above, which is exactly what working with your hands needs.
Form is the patient sculptor. Form turns the sculpture a fraction to the left every morning, just to see how it looks from there. Suddenly it looks like a very good beginning, and the lump of clay beside it is waiting for its turn.
A flower by the door has been watching the whole project with quiet approval. Come in, pick up a tool and let the shape decide what it wants to be.
