Connect a domain you already own

Point a domain you own at a published casa without breaking its email: save your records, copy the new ones exactly and wait for the checks.

Publish a casa first, then open its domain connection settings. Enter the exact address you want visitors to use, such as www.example.com. The root address and its www version may need separate setup; follow the records shown for each address.

Before changing DNS, save the existing records and identify any website or email service already using them. Copy the requested record type, host and value exactly into the dashboard that manages your authoritative DNS. Some providers add the domain suffix automatically, so check the resulting full name. Keep unrelated mail records and verification records intact.

Use the offered verification check. Ownership, routing and the HTTPS certificate are separate states; the connection is ready only when all required checks pass. Then open the domain over HTTPS and test a real link or contact action.

If an automated provider connection is offered, review its permissions and proposed changes before approving. A registrar account is not required to move elsewhere. If verification remains pending, use the troubleshooting guide rather than repeatedly replacing records.
