Find out why a domain is not connecting

Ownership pending, DNS mismatch or certificate pending: read the status for the exact hostname and fix the one check that is failing.

Start with the status shown for the exact hostname. Ownership pending, DNS mismatch and certificate pending require different checks. Note the last check time; repeatedly clicking retry does not make a provider process the change faster.

For a DNS mismatch, confirm that you edited the active DNS provider, which may differ from the registrar. Compare the record type, full host and target with the instructions. Look for an accidentally repeated domain suffix or a conflicting record at the same name. Preserve the original values before correcting anything.

For ownership pending, check that the current verification token is present at the requested name. For certificate pending, follow the specific certificate error and any documented provider requirements; do not remove security records blindly.

If another account has claimed the domain, contact support with ownership evidence. Do not try to bypass that claim through another spelling. If the record is correct but the status remains pending, send the hostname, provider, redacted record screenshot, error and check time. Never send account passwords or unrestricted API tokens.
